The long-awaited Clinic Directory is finally here! We recently compiled a bilingual directory of 11 wound-care clinics from British Columbia to Nova Scotia. Since many patients do not know where to turn when they have wounds that will not heal, the Clinic Directory is an important tool for improving patient outcomes. Also, the directory enables clinicians who do not specialize in wound care to refer patients in need. To view the Clinic Directory, please click here.
The CAWC is pleased to introduce its new slide CD; one of our best teaching tools is now even better. In the past we offered a selection of CDs in each language. After two years of reviews and updates, we are launching one master CD to replace all of the others. It contains dozens of remastered slides, in both French and English. Visit the online Boutique for more details.
Monofilaments have been difficult to source in Canada and the CAWC has taken the steps necessary to have these items produced to our specifications for sale through our online Boutique. These simple devices are used to test patients for loss of protective sensation and are invaluable to both clinicians and patients. For more information about monofilaments and their use, please visit the Monofilament page, or go directly to the Boutique to place an order.
The CAWC is now pleased to provide an online self-study module that supports the development of a basic knowledge of skin, its function, and maintenance.
