CAWC/ACSP Bulletin February 2002 Volume No 2. Issue No.1
- AGM 2002 The CAWCs first AGM (Annual General Meeting),
will be held on May 11th at the Toronto Airport Marriott. All CAWC members
will be receiving their AGM package by post no later than March 31/02
- Best Practices seminar In conjunction with the AGM we will
be holding our first one-day seminar, Best Practices seminar, May 10th,
same place. Info will be mailed to all members and previous conference
attendees.
- BCS publications CAWC has just entered into an important relationship
with BCS publications. Our Association will be working with BCS to make
Wound Care more of a central focus in their 4 Canadian publications
which are:
- Canadian Family Physicians Home Care SOLUTIONS
- Rehab & Community Care Management
- Canadas Family Guide to Home Health Care and Wellness ---SOLUTIONS
- Todays Kids
BCS will be providing us with an editorial outlet, heightened visibility
and exposure with a platform that will allow us to reach a broader
and more varied audience. All CAWC members will receive all 4 BCS
Quarterly magazines free!
- 8th Annual Conference 8th Annual Conference of the Canadian
Association of Wound Care (Complete information will be available on
line the last week in March.) November 14-17, 2002 Sheraton Wall Centre
Vancouver, B.C.
- Best Practice Seminar The CAWC is launching a new modular
teaching program through which it will be providing a more comprehensive
approach to learning. Knowledge, skill acquisition and mentoring will
be the key component with programs focused on the four Canadian Best
Practice Recommendations. [more

- President - Vice President In an effort to align the CAWC
Board with the existing bylaws the following changes have been made:
Heather Orsted - President, Karen Campbell - Vice President
- Corporate Advisory Board The CAWCs Corporate Advisory
Board has elected its new corporate reps who will be their liaison with
the Board of Directors. They are Rob Stephen from J&J and Kimberley
Stevenson from 3M.
