to Public Policy issues in wound care
- Be aware of the memberships
concerns relating to Public Policy issues
- Provide ongoing participation
in and communication with appropriate government and regulatory agencies
in regards to the area of wound care
- Keep current with the rapidly
changing legislative environment and provide information to the membership
of the CAWC and to the Government
- Participate on task forces/committees
as requested by government agencies to ensure that the CAWC is proactive
in public policy efforts for wound care in Acute Care, Home Care and
Long Term Care
2. Provide an audit process
for wound care tools, which have been developed by Health Care Professionals
across Canada.
- The key wound care opinion
leaders associated with the CAWC will provide the critical analysis/evaluation
of wound care tools (protocols/guidelines) using a validated assessment
tool
- Ratings and recommendations
relating to each tools suitability and applicability to differing practice
settings will be made to help ensure positive outcomes in keeping with
