ARJO Canada / Huntleigh contribute to finding solutions to mobility for the patient and caregiver. A patient with limited mobility may be susceptible to pressure ulcers or deep vein thrombosis and the patient handling necessary may put excessive stress on the people who care for these individuals. The new business was formed following the acquisition of Huntleigh Healthcare by the Getinge Group and created ARJO Canada / Huntleigh as one new organisation. ARJO Canada / Huntleigh is a major manufacturer of bed frames for hospital and residential facilities. The technologies employed in bed frame design can assist in pressure ulcer prevention and management, fall prevention and reducing nursing staff injuries. This is timely with the introduction of the new FDA guidelines from the Hospital Bed Safety Workgroup. ARJO Canada / Huntleigh also provides the clinician with a wide range of pressure area care support surfaces to meet each individual patient’s needs. Our support surfaces can accommodate patients at risk of developing pressure ulcers, to dynamic pressure relieving mattress systems for up to and including Stage 4 pressure ulcers.
